Narcan Training

Narcan is used as an emergency means to stop an overdose from resulting in the death of an individual. In addition to offering people another chance at recovery, Naloxone could also save a child, a pet or an elderly person who has accidentally overdosed and needs assistance.  ARC can provide this life-saving training in person or virtually and there is no cost for the training.

About the training: this training teaches about opioids – what they are, signs of an overdose and how to administer Narcan.

About Naloxone: Naloxone (Narcan) is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications. Narcan is safe, easy to use and does not have any potential for abuse.

Who should attend: Business owners and staff, family members, volunteers, school personnel, community members and anyone who wants to learn how to save a life.
Each attendee will receive a FREE Narcan kit.
