Episode 27: Anxiety and Depression in Teens
Session Description: The goal of this training is to help identify the warning signs of depression and anxiety in teens and adolescents. In today’s society our adolescents are dealing with varying degrees of stress that inlcudes, families, school, peer, social unrest and even a pandemic. There is a link between stress, depression and anxiety and we understand that the brain functioning and development can be negatively impacted by these factors. Our goal is to identify the warning signs, help teach coping skills to help adolescents deal with anxiety and depression and if needed make the appropriate referral for treatment.

Episode 26: Youth Substance Abuse During COVID 19
Sheltering-in-place has presented unusual challenges and stress for teens. Preventing substance use during these times presents a unique challenge for parents and professionals. Episode 24: Marijuana Impairment Training
This course will discuss marijuana as a drug and distinguish the impairing substance located in the marijuana plant. We will provide an understanding of impairment and how marijuana affects human performance and the central nervous system. We will provide some of the tests used to assess impairment and what clues to look for. Finally, we will provide the signs and symptoms of marijuana impairment that can be observed so that we can act against drug abuse in the workplace, schools, and community.
